Nestled in Uxbridge, just 15 minutes north of Whitby, Woodnewton is home to the Durham Shredders Mountain Bike Club and offers exclusive access to some of the best early-season trails in Ontario! With sandy soils, southern exposure, and fast, flowy, and technical singletrack, this venue delivers prime racing conditions—but only during events!
Mark your calendars for an epic weekend of racing and community fun:
Saturday, May 10 – Short Track Cross-Country (XCC) racing kicks off, along with a youth fun race and special Women & Girls events!
Sunday, May 11 – The action continues with the XCO races, where racers will test their skills on Woodnewton’s legendary trails.
With a food truck, community activities, and an electric race atmosphere, this is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of mountain biking! Whether you’re competing or cheering from the sidelines, don’t miss out on one of the most exciting events of the season!
ONtrail supports Canada’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation and believe that it is our responsibility to listen, learn, and support healing. To that end we present this Land Acknowledgement.
The lands on which we build and ride originate from the history and modern traditions of the Anishabe, Attawandaron, Haudenosaunee and the Metis. As we gather on trail let us join in solidarity with our Indigenous brothers and sisters to respect the four directions, land, water, animals and ancestors. We thank the Mississauga of the New Credit First Nation for being traditional stewards of this territory.
